Ice storm

Yay!! I am finally getting the hang of this. It does help to use a computer that can support all the downloading. These are just around our house and down the street. In a nutshell, the weather is cold and humid enough that the rain freezes encasing everything in ice. As the ice thickens, it becomes too heavy for branches and telephone lines to support, so they snap. Then as quickly as it comes, it warms up and melts. As the temperature rises, the ice cracks and falls to the ground in piles. It literally looks like someone has dumped crushed ice everywhere. And beware of falling icicles!! Enjoy.
